FYI, this film is special because when it was manufactured it was loaded into the canister backwards. So the light comes through the “wrong” side of the emulsion. Then magic fairies say its gonna be red rather than the normal color balance. Why? I don’t know. The fairies I figure.

The film has four main characters and is based in Brighton Beach, a neighborhood in Brooklyn, NY. The movie starts with the characters having potential and ends in WORSE case scenarios of despair, hopelessness, hollow, loss, and disillusionment.

Watch it to allow yourself to experience those emotions created by the director and actors. Not every experience in life (and movies) ends happily. The main four characters are portrayed by Ellen Burstyn (a raw, brave, and expertly crafted role), Jared Leto, Marlon Wayans, and Jennifer Connelly.

The recent episode “Jack’s Love Letter” is very raw. I’m very raw. I filmed most of this episode myself. You’ll see. What happens in it is very complex and what is captured is scary at times. I had to do it. It was hard.

That was episode 9 of Forever…For Now. There is lot of things that happen that lead up to this. Go back and watch all the episodes before. They’re 10 minutes or less each. Its a roller coaster of a ride.

Its hilarious! And true. True in that funny yet really raw way. Go watch at least the last few episodes from Season 1 so you can get up to speed and then watch Season 2.

I headed up to Lincoln Center to see Michael Clayton, the George Clooney vehicle. I’m quite happy to watch George Clooney for two hours; handsome man. There was a lot of subway repairs going. The B wasn’t running north past West 4th, but the D was running on the local track. So I hopped it and expected it to hit all the local stops as if it was the B. And it did until 59th St and then decided to skip everything until 125th. In Harlem. I wanted 72nd, I got 125th. So, there was no way for someone on the B or D line to get off between 59th and 125th. Everyone was out of luck. Maybe the C did but I wasn’t on that train. How…can…you…know…this? I read the signs. Didn’t say that the magic “local” stopped at 59th street. Sheesh!

In Harlem, I walked across the platform and hopped a train going downtown. I had a NY Post with me so found another showing of the movie later. Found it and got to this new theater in time. Popcorn…water. Ready to go.

The movie was entertaining but not excellent. His tag line “Do I look like I’m negotiating!” came at an odd time in the movie. It was so much like Nicholsons’, “You can’t handle the truth!” that I wanted to see how it was in context…and it fell kinda flat.

Afterwards, hopped back home to make and play some music. When I checked on him, I found that my snowman must have had too much to drink. He had fallen down! The lout.

Their ad campaign reminds me of how the Diesel ad campaigns in the early-mid 90s spoke directly to me. I was very happy to buy their clothing. And so, I’ll be very happy to see this movie. Full price. Large popcorn.

Over the weekend, a friend told me of a montage of Simpsons couch gags. You remember, towards the end of the opening credits, Marge almost runs Homer over in their driveway and he runs inside the house with everyone else to go sit on the couch. Well, here’s about 100 of them all together. Its GREAT.

On the way back, I took a good look at the Space Needle. Its probably my last time being so close to it. Here, Kelly captured me taking a pic.
